Reyonlds Creek Trail - Tonto National Forest
03/25/2015
The temperature is in the 90s in the valley so we headed up into the Sierra Ancha in the Tonto National Forest.
This area is higher in elevation - about 6,200 feet - so it is considerably cooler.
The trail is pretty well marked but some places you can loose it easily. The elevation gain means most if it is up with occasional flat sections, but the climb is worth it because the views of the rocks and valley are beautiful.

It is always good to know you are on the right trail
The first creek crossing. The spring wash has wrecked havoc on the "bridge"
A little glee after making the wobbly crossing
Further on nature provides a very nice mosaic
Just a shot of some of the cliffs
Looking back at the valley
Pretty valley shot and George. Now that makes a great shot
Slogging up the trail. It was all about like this.
At the base of one of the cliffs. I am trying to provide some sense of scale.
That is the cliff I was holding up
The falls. So it is not a rushing fall but it was still pretty
That pool looked like a great place for wildlife to gather
Unfortunately this moth was the only wild thing that was accommodating for posing
He was quite the cutie
You should appreciate these aspens because I gave up a lung to get here
Sure they are probably prettier when they have leaves but we were glad to see them
Artsy moon and aspen shot
